Our Festivals
Members of the West Midlands Hindu Forum organizes various Hindu festivals throughout the year. Notable events include significant celebrations such as Holi (the Festival of Colours), Raksha Bandhan, Janmashtami, Navaratri (Nine Nights) and Diwali festivities.
These festivals not only have religious significance but also serve to bring the Hindu community together, highlighting cultural traditions and community connections in the West Midlands region of the UK.
Our Initiatives
West Midlands Hindu Forum members engage in various community-focused events beyond traditional festivals. These include community cohesion meetings, where representatives discuss social integration and shared learning opportunities. They organise Sewa (volunteering) days involving community service activities. Additionally, these forums host educational and recreational classes to empower community members. The organisations also support health, women’s and youth groups, providing platforms for skill development and community engagement
